“It was such an enjoyable experience in spite of some heavy rain and wind on arrival at the vineyard. Isabella was a great host as were all the staff at the vineyard. They were all generous with their time and made everyone feel welcome as well as being so knowledgeable about the uniqueness of the wines and the family who have developed such a successful business from very little. “What a great day exploring the Sicilian My Etna countryside! Our driver Marco was great! We first stopped at La Gelsomina, which we had already been to on a previous tour, but it was still great. We were able to try different wines than tasted on the previous visit. Next we visited a small winery, Antichi Vini do Sicilia, where we toured the small wine making shop and then went upstairs to learn about the different wines and had a lovely lunch outside overlooking the sea. “This tour is perfect, and I definitely recommend it. The guide picked us up on time, at the exact location, and was flexible enough to drop us off where it suited us best on the way back. Marco is an excellent guide, and he shared so many informative details about the volcano, eruptions, flora, and fauna. The Alcantara Gorge is truly spectacular, although the water is very cold.
