Our tour guide Gaetano has drove us around all the best spots and provided us with a dose of knowledge about the volcano. Not only was it educational, but also very entertaining. We got to experience the cave with the flashlights and also taste some Sicilian snacks and wine. The perfect ending of the whole trip was getting to see the sunset from a truly amazing spot at 2000mt. If you get Gaetano as your guide you will for sure not be bored ;))”

“Super informative tour - our guide, Augusto, was passionate and engaging, telling stories and history of Etna throughout the experience. Etna is beautiful and scenic, and our favorite part was exploring the lava tube (long tunnel-like cave) with our daughters (ages 4 & 7)! Views from the top are incredible (windy and cold, bring a sweatshirt, our guide informed us before the tour). It’s a long experience (our tour was 5hours), so plan accordingly with snacks/food - it was my husband’s favorite experience of our 11-day vacation (he loves both history and nature).”

“Was interesting. Guides were great. My advise would be if on a cruise like we were rethink doing this activity. From the Messina Cruise Port its 1 1/2 hours one way so it left us very little time. You do not go near the summit and are at the pace of the slowest person in group. We had 20 minutes to have lunch and a guide took me and husband back to boat. Very grateful they watched time and made sure we did not miss ship.”

We learned about the horticulture of Mt Etna, the history of her eruptions and lava tubes (the highlight for the kids was to wear helmuts and headlamps and go in the lava tubes).”

“Flawless experience! Be prepared with water and a snack as you will be driving for about an hour and a half both ways! Especially during the summer months as temperatures can reach about 30C+ Our guides were great and made sure no body was left feeling uneasy with the trip! The route was for the most part absolutely beautiful and gives you a good experience of outer city life in Sicily. Would recommend for anyone seeking something a bit different then the usual experience in Sicily!”

“They tell you to meet at one place and give you three times. They never showed up. We managed to track them down at a completely random bar near the cable cars, but they had left without us 20 minutes early. They were unapologetic. We missed the tour and are working on our refund (they don’t give refunds directly). And it wasn’t just us - there were others standing around the designated meeting place waiting for them. Good news is you can hike the craters alone and it’s really cool. If you want to do a guided tour, there appear to be a lot of other highly competent providers. Not…”
